Description

This Banana Honey Cinnamon Bread is moist, flavorful, and naturally sweetened with ripe bananas and honey. A hint of cinnamon adds warmth, making it perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup melted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread tender.
  • If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For added texture, sprinkle the top with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar before baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
