Description
This Falafel Hummus combines the earthy, herby flavors of falafel with the creamy texture of hummus, creating a dip or spread that’s perfect for pairing with pita bread, veggies, or as a sandwich filling.

- 1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas (or canned, drained, and rinsed)
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2–3 tablespoons water (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, and lemon juice.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Add water, one tablespoon at a time, to achieve your desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, blending again to incorporate.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish with a sprinkle of parsley or paprika if desired.
Notes
- Serve with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, or use as a spread in wraps and sandwiches.
- For extra falafel flavor, add a pinch of ground cayenne or a few sesame seeds.
